Physiotherapy

Helping your people recover faster

Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions are one of the leading causes of workplace absence in the UK. Early access to physiotherapy can significantly reduce recovery times, support a faster return to work, and prevent short-term issues from becoming long-term problems.

COPE’s physiotherapy service is delivered by our in-house team, overseen by our dedicated Physio & Ergonomics Lead — a qualified physiotherapist with extensive occupational health experience. Every assessment includes a detailed report with clear recommendations that support both recovery and ongoing case management.

  • Clinic-based physiotherapy — convenient access at a COPE-approved clinic near your employee, anywhere in the UK
  • Onsite physiotherapy — our physiotherapists visit your site, gaining first-hand understanding of the working environment

Ergonomics & DSE

Address risks before they become problems

Poor workplace ergonomics can lead to discomfort, musculoskeletal disorders and long-term health issues — all of which affect productivity, absence and wellbeing. Our ergonomics assessments are carried out by our in-house team and overseen by our dedicated Physio & Ergonomics Lead, with every assessment producing a detailed written report of clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Virtual DSE workstation assessments — convenient and cost-effective for home and office-based employees
  • Face-to-face DSE workstation assessments — an in-person review of the employee’s workstation
  • Workplace assessments — a broader evaluation of ergonomic risks across the working environment
  • Vehicle assessments — for drivers and operators, including train and tram drivers

A truly in-house, integrated service

Unlike many providers who outsource physiotherapy and ergonomics, COPE delivers these services through our own in-house team. Because they sit within our wider occupational health service, your employees benefit from joined-up care — our physiotherapists and ergonomics specialists work closely alongside our occupational health team, sharing insight and coordinating care.
