COPE Occupational Health Services is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2030. This plan sets out our baseline, our progress so far and the steps we are taking to reduce our carbon footprint.

Current emissions

For our most recent reported year, April 2021 – March 2022, total emissions were 42.33 tCO2e (Scope 1: 0.00; Scope 2: 0.00; Scope 3: 42.33). This represents a reduction of 3.25 tCO2e, or 7.1%, against our baseline — achieved despite growth in our headcount of around 17.5% over the measured period.

Emissions reduction plans

Our primary strategy is to reduce business travel, our largest single source of emissions, by increasing virtual service delivery and holding more meetings remotely. We also maintain homeworking policies that reduce commuting emissions. Together with our Net Zero by 2030 commitment, these measures guide our ongoing efforts to decarbonise.
